Whether you are 15 or 55 years old, Starting Point can become a lifeline in your journey through an unexpected season of life. Starting Point is a faith-based, non-profit organization committed to educating, empowering and walking with women and men of all ages. In addition to helping navigate an unexpected pregnancy, Starting Point also provides licensed professional counseling and support for those dealing with a family trauma, seeking parenting education or help in recovering from a pregnancy loss. Our knowledgeable and engaging staff and volunteers are here for anyone, regardless of income, age or insurance. All our services are provided at NO COST to you!

We live in an increasingly complex and fragmented society where it can be difficult to find safe relationships or to build personal, trustworthy support systems. This is where the Start Here Community comes in. Members of this community will not only find education and material support, but also the love and encouragement of staff and volunteers. The team has dedicated their lives to coming alongside those who need a listening ear, the benefit of someone else’s experience, or a safe place to process the life experiences that can be so challenging.

For example, the Starting Point Mom’s Group has become that safe space for food, fun activities and fellowship with other women sharing the journey of motherhood. We recently received a beautiful letter from a client, Jessica, sharing her experience of being new to the community with no outlets for relationship until she found Starting Point:

“I found Starting Point through a Facebook post saying, we’re here to help, and help is what I got! I found like-minded moms and encouragement through some of the most precious parts of my life, as well as some of the most challenging. From my son’s club foot to marriage issues to the passing of family members, this group has been my second home. I’m happy I chose to become a member of something so amazing!”

If you, or someone you know and love needs help, please let them know Starting Point is here for them, too! Those needing help will find free parenting and life skills education, pregnancy services and STI testing/treatment, ob-ultrasounds and options coaching on abortion, adoption and parenting. They will also discover a safe, non-judgemental environment of loving support with both individiual and group options. Come discover the difference a loving and supportive environment can make!
