My heart for people and serving the Lord brought me to Starting Point. After 3 years as the Development Director, I transitioned into the role of Executive Director. It is a great honor to lead a ministry with such a rich legacy in our community.
I am a graduate of Mount Vernon Nazarene University with multiple degrees and experience in business, healthcare and treatment foster care. I enjoy fundraising, building relationships, and encouraging people. Faith and family are most important in my life.
Client Services Director
I have been serving in ministry in some capacity for most of my life. From a P.K. (preacher's kid) to now being married to a pastor, serving others has been built into my DNA. Being on staff at Starting Point is no different. The opportunities to serve are endless as we minister God's truth and love to our clients. I enjoy meeting with client individuals or families, and sharing their burdens, coming alongside them during critical and challenging moments in their lives. I also enjoy working with our wonderful Starting Point volunteers.
I hold a B.A. in Sociology from Asbury University, an M.A. in Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary and an MSW from the University of Kentucky. I am a counselor, social worker and advocate at heart.
Development Director
I am an Interior Design Institute Graduate and have spent several years working in pro-life, non-profit ministries and mentoring women of all ages in my church.
I am excited to serve as Development Director here at Starting Point and to combine my love for art with my heart for ministry! I love event planning, digital & interior design, marketing & building meaningful relationships with those around me.
Nurse Manager
I graduated from Malone College with a Bachelor's in Nursing and have been a Registered Nurse for 25+ years. Working in women's health is my calling, and I feel blessed to have been given the opportunity to help women facing unexpected pregnancies.
As the Ultrasound Services Director, my main responsibilities include offering pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and options counseling.
Office Manager
I am a graduate of Thomas Edison State University, with an Associate in Business Administration. God opened the door for me to work at Starting Point, and I am incredibly blessed to be part of a ministry that is so close to my heart. As Office Manager, I supervise office administration and the boutique.
Family is a precious gift, so I am honored to support a family-centered ministry through my work.
Client Care Coordinator
I am thrilled to serve as the Client Care Coordinator at Starting Point. With over 20 years in church ministry as a pastor's wife, administrative assistant, and worship leader, I cherish this opportunity to minister to families in the community. My main duties here include greeting and checking in clients, scheduling appointments, and managing communications.
I am a Mount Vernon Nazarene University graduate and pursuing a Social Work degree. I am blessed to have found a ministry that aligns with my passion for loving and serving others.

Medical Director
Dr. Hardin currently runs his own practice: Riverwood Family Health in Mount Vernon, Ohio, located in the Starting Point building. Having received his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Hardin is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and loves serving the whole family in a multi-generational context.
Both Dr. Hardin and his wife, Emily, are excited to care for the families of Starting Point as an extension of service to the community.
