Every Life Has Value & Purpose

One of the things that is special about Starting Point is how we value people. After a visit to the center, each person is given a survey. So many times, the comments say, “It felt calm and peaceful, and the people are so kind.” This is a testimony of the value we place on each individual who walks in the door. In order to continue to show our clients just how loved and special they are, we have begun a project to refresh our shopping boutique.

At the boutique, clients enrolled in our “Start Here” program can spend points (formerly “boutique bucks”) that they’ve earned for needed baby items (and more). The boutique provides the material resources that moms need for their babies and at no cost to them. Individuals, churches and businesses have donated many of the items that are featured in our boutique by having baby showers in honor of Starting Point, making this a wonderful community sponsored resource.

The new space will be called, “Bump & Beyond Boutique by Starting Point.” The boutique will continue to feature a maternity clothes closet, along with diapers, wipes, cribs, strollers, car seats, baby clothes in newborn through 4t, and much more!

We have recognized a need in our community to support those who have experienced child loss like miscarriage or abortion, and teens and young adults receiving counseling and support for needs not related to pregnancy. Starting Point is making a special “Beyond Boutique” just for them. This area will feature personal care and household items, along with other fun things that these clients can use their points to purchase. It is an additional way for us show how much we value each person that comes to Starting Point!
