The Next Step....

Imagine Tonya, a sophomore at a local high school. She just got her license and is walking out to her car after school. Across the parking lot she notices a BIG GREEN RV. On the side it says, “Free & Confidential Pregnancy Tests.” She doesn’t need this, but her friend Kelly was just telling her at lunch she thinks she might be pregnant and doesn’t know what to do. She wonders, “Can they help my friend?” Very soon, Starting Point can make this scenario a reality.

Starting Point is on the cusp of building a new “RV mobile ministry.” This RV will be created to take free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and STI/STD testing out into our community. We are praying for the Lord to bring the necessary resources to make this happen. What do we need?

We need financial resources and more volunteers in order to build a successful mobile ministry for Knox County. With the opportunity to lease a mobile unit in the next few months and the donation of an ultrasound machine for the mobile ministry, we are well on our way to making this dream a reality!

But we need you! Do you know any local nurses who would be willing to help for a few hours a week in the center or on the mobile unit? Having an ultrasound technician license with a degree in sonography is a plus, but training will be provided for nurses wanting to learn ultrasounds.
